Staff Training & Development
At FCCC we invest both time and resources to enable our staff to continually train and develop both personally and professionally, throughout their careers with us.
Ourselves (Alan & Gail) as Directors have always embraced the ethos of clear responsibility and accountability for all our managers and staff to allow them ownership and a sense of personal belonging within their nursery.
We have a senior management team of Andrew Clifford, General Manager along with Senior Managers Judith Gannon (Lancs) & Clare Gibson (Yorks) who ensure our high standards are maintained, developed and monitored. The Senior Management team and Nursery Managers are supported by an Office Manager, Emma Clifford.
All our staff are encouraged to attend professional courses such as EYFS, First Aid, Child Protection and Basic Food Hygiene. All our teams of staff including all our support staff, those who do not work directly with children, hold enhanced CRB clearances and the relevant police checks.
We support NVQII and NVQIII trainees through their courses at Blackburn College (Lancs), Calderdale College, A&R Training and GP Training in Halifax, City Training and Shipley College in Bradford and Park Lane College in Leeds. We offer our Nursery Trainees hands-on experience within the nursery environment and a session at college, which enables them to build their portfolio of work for assessment by college.
