Gala Celebrations & Staff Awards 2009
Fun and celebrations were enjoyed by more than 100 staff from across the First Class Child Care family at our 4th Annual Staff Awards & Gala Celebrations night held on Saturday 30th January at The Coniston Hotel near Gargrave. This year was extra special because we celebrated 25 years of quality care and education. A special presentation was made to Alan & Gail Clifford on behalf of FCCC along with presentations from individual nurseries.
Staff celebrated in style at the classy Coniston venue and individual nursery achievements were recognised including fundraising, NVQ's and events throughout the year, before dancing the night away amongst friends and colleagues.
The staff awards were the main feature of the evening and nominations were received from fellow staff across all the nurseries with the shortlisting proving a very difficult process. The 'roll of honour' is listed below.

Retirements
Keith James - Sites Supervisor - FCCC Group following 5 years service
Barbara Wilkinson - Nursery Officer - FCCC Wesley House following 20 years service to the nursery.
Both Keith and Barbara will be missed by everyone they worked alongisde as well as by the children.
Service awards were also given to the following staff, who will all attend our summer 'Five Year Club' event in recognition of their loyal service to First Class Child Care.
We now have in excess of 20 staff with more than 5 years service to FCCC who enjoy the 'away day' every summer.
